N.J. college’s professors vote to strike over the school’s handling of $2.25M grant

County College of Morris professors and faculty members voted to authorize a partial strike over how the two-year college is using a $2.25 million grant.
The faculty union alleges administrators at the two-year college plan to use the grant money to bypass the union and hire full-time administrators and outside trainers to “hand-pick” non-tenured professors to work on the project.
The grant, awarded to the college last year by the U.S. Department of Education, is designed to provide better academic advisers for low-income students.
